Partnering with Eagle Travel Systems out of Los Angeles, Planet Telex built this reservation and tour engine into a DotNetNuke website. The site integrates with two back-end reservation engines, a credit card processing API, Microsoft Virtual Earth, and a travel insurance web service, and blends them into a smooth and natural user experience. The web administrable system manages vehicles, tours, locations, and a variety of specialty websites. With these admin tools and DotNetNuke’s inherit functionality the company now maintains the site themselves. This site design increased reservation conversions, travel insurance sales, and tour bookings significantly over the site that preceded it. Additionally our work optimizing the site for search engines in conjunction with some advertising initiatives undertaken by Eagle Travel Systems was able to triple the site’s traffic in under a year.
